Does the packaging of agricultural products give off a "rustic" vibe in most people's minds?
Agricultural product packaging should not deliberately pursue luxury, nor should it be too exaggerated, otherwise it will lose its unique "earthy" nature. However, "earthy" does not mean "bland" or lacking in interest. In addition to reflecting the product itself, adding some fun elements to the packaging can deepen consumers' impressions of the product.
01.Cackling Hen Eggs in the Wild
This Wild Traces Chicken Eggs series features four color schemes. Each packaging box representing different egg varieties, with a unified logo in Chinese ink wash style. The cover features hand-drawn illustrations of hens and their living environments, complemented by egg cross-section graphics, creating strong visual appeal and distinct points of memory.
02.Ten Miles Fragrant Rice
The core brand concept of Shili Daohsiang rice is ecologically friendly. The design incorporates various wild forest and wildlife images from Northeast China. The cover features geometric patterns abstracted into animal faces, with different forms of rice ears below, presenting various nature illustrations.
03.JL Fruits
The packaging design for JL fruit products by Prompt Design Company features selective magnification, instantly capturing attention with close-up shots that allow consumers to directly experience the natural freshness of the fruits.
04.Yunnan Good Products
This group of Yunnan specialty products consists of four items: Zhaotong ugly apple, Matsutake mushrooms, Xishuangbanna crystal pomelo, and Xiaobao grain. The four products have different forms of packaging design, all using highly saturated colors which are visually interesting and subvert consumers' "earthy" impression of traditional agricultural products.
4.1 Zhaotong ugly apple
This apple from Zhaotong is called "Ugly Apple" because it is bright red with spots on the surface. Yunnan Specialty refers to the red color of this "Ugly Apple" as "Plateau Red". The packaging illustration is designed using anthropomorphism, with the slogan "Sincere Red Cheeks, a Heart of Rock Sugar". It looks simple yet full of fun.
4.2 Matsutake mushrooms
Yunnan is rich in various types of mushrooms, with matsutake being one of the more precious varieties. However, many people are not familiar with matsutake. This design incorporates various cooking instructions on the packaging to help consumers quickly learn how to prepare matsutake, thereby reducing consumer psychological barriers.
4.3 Xishuangbanna crystal pomelo
There is also this Xishuangbanna crystal pomelo. One box contains two units, so the product name is "TWO柚," which sounds like "to you." Extend this pun by incorporating fun phrases like "all the good and sweet ones to you~" and "happy two 柚" to create a closer connection with consumers.
4.4 Baby corn
In Yunnan, corn is locally known as "baogu." This product comes from Xishuangbanna and is named "Rainforest Mini Corn," fully showcasing the regional characteristics. By holding the corn with an "OK" gesture, it highlights the "mini" size, allowing consumers to intuitively feel the product size.
